The rugged primitive siding was harvested from on-site cedar trees; the knotty pine interior was locally sourced. Friends gifted a claw foot tub and historic farmhouse sink. Unique Rustic Adirondack Cabin

This is a unique rustic cabin on a private dirt road nestled on a mountain brook in the forest adjoining the Giant Mountain Wilderness Area. This small (200 sq ft + 80 sq ft sleeping loft), Adirondack style cabin was completely refurbished this past year using locally sourced woods and built by hand. Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

Magical Treehouse

Sleep up in the trees in our cozy Magical Treehouse. This place is the perfect base camp for your next adventure, or a unique spot to curl up with a good book. The perfect place to be in the woods, but not isolated. Cook your meals in the nearby cookhouse (40’ away, unheated) on a camp stove or over an open campfire. A heated bathroom/shower is 20’ away. We provide you with linens, cookware, plus help you plan your trip. Property includes miles of hiking trails and beautiful places to explore!

Ascent House | Keene

A unique retreat meticulously crafted for resting and recharging after exploring in our beautiful Adirondack Wilderness. Flooded with natural light, every room offers calming frames of nature. The Rock House up in the trees!

Retreat & social distance in the tree tops in our 8x10 ft “Rock House”. Song Birds will sing to you. Private outdoor bath tub near grilling/fire pit. A screened pavilion with picnic table and outdoor kitchen was added in 2021. Finnish steam sauna w shower was completed in fall 2019. Nice outhouse! Self Check in May - Oct. 160 private acres with 4 miles of trails on our 3/4 mi stretch of the wild and scenic St Regis River in the Adirondack Park. Pets are ok. We Welcome Diversity.

A Bedroom in the woods with lovely views!

Picturesque location on farmland with views of the mountains. We are a micro farm. Wake up and watch the sunrise and go for a short hike on the property, and get to know the animals. We are located 35 minutes from Saratoga Springs and Lake George, NY and 45 minutes from Dorset and Manchester, VT. Hike the Adirondack or Green Mountains, paddle the streams or go to a nearby small city for a play, a festival, or a concert. There is a long list of things to do and see within an hour of us!

A charming, stylish 20’ yurt in the woods on our small, off-the-grid goat farm! If you are looking to get away from it all (and still be close to SO much) - this is the place for you! Enjoy a nap in the hammock, explore our nature trails, a great night’s sleep under the stars, a freshly-made country breakfast - and goats!
