Gåavstand til alt sentrum har å tilby av restauranter, kjøpesenter, badeland, klatrevegg, bibliotek og kino. Kun 2 min gåtur til bensinstasjonen via snarveien/trapp på nedsiden av huset. In summer, Bakketunet is open to individual visitors with cultural programs and activities. Among other things, is the Indiefjord music festival. The famous knitting brand Hjørundfjordstrikk is located here.
