Beach walks, swims, surfing, golf, or any of the many bush walks or local weekend markets.

Overlooking the Lake, it is perfect for a weekend getaway or longer to explore the Coromandel. A short stroll, Cooks is a beautiful sandy beach, very safe for swimming with many other stunning beaches nearby. Cooks Beach is made famous because Captain James Cook sailed on the HMS Endeavour into Mercury Bay in 1769 and anchored at Cooks Beach off Purangi.

The house is seating on waterfront side of driveway, which shared by other four houses, we living in another house down the driveway, can assist in mins if needed. Centrally located at the heart of the famous Orewa beach in the Hibiscus Coast of North Auckland region, 200m distance from the surf beach and 350m from the entrance of the 8km estuary walk/cycle way. The shops, supermarkets , cafes, restaurants/bars, take aways and fast foods are 1km walk. We only offer a quiet , comfortable room to stay in - Parties, visitors and binge drinking are not allowed. We provide sachets of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, but no breakfast food.

Enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake and mountains while sat on the deck or park up at the bar leaner and watch the golfers on the 6th green, close by.

We are on the Kauaeranga Valley Rd close to all the walking tracks, so if you are wanting to walk the tracks during the day & stay with us at night the cabin would be perfect for you.
