Upstairs, there is an open-plan kitchen and living area with a wood-burning stove, overlooking surrounding fields. An outdoor balcony provides a lovely space to relax and enjoy the view. The property also offers a wood-fired sauna with indoor hot and cold showers, which can be booked separately. An on-site café and coffee shop are just a short walk away. Dogs are welcome by arrangement.

Garden Cottage is a lovely converted barn attached to Catlands Foot Farm tucked away on the hillside with views across to the Galloway Hills, Scotland. Just outside the Lake District National Park but within a 30 minute drive of Keswick you get the best of both worlds of exploring the attractions of the Northen Lake District and the Solway Coast with its quaint seaside towns. With plenty of short walks available from the cottage there is a no better place to relax and unwind. Pet friendly.

The perfect romantic retreat, Swallows Rest, is a converted 18th century hay barn. Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. Upstairs is a mezzanine floor with king size bed, balcony and luxurious shower room

The pod is perfect for walkers and cyclists who wish to explore the local footpaths and country lanes. Local town is less than a 5 minute drive away! Our peaceful glamping pod near Wigton, Cumbria is ideally located for the Tour de France UK stages in July 2027, with Carlisle and the Lake District stages within easy reach.

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.
