This elegant Georgian mews is set within a courtyard with outdoor space and adjoins the main house. It is a comfortable and stylish place to stay whether you are passing through or staying longer. An ideal location to access the Lake District, Borders and the Yorkshire Dales. The Eden Valley also has a wide range of places to visit and things to do. An ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing, motorcycling, eating out, sailing, kayaking and for taking time to explore the county on day trips.

Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

Warm and modern two-bedroom, newly restored Northumbrian stone cottage. Close to Hadrians Wall and Northumberland National Park. The former farmstead is set within its own meadows and oak woodbanks. Ecological principles have been followed in every hand-crafted detail with the use of locally sourced and natural materials to make a breathable, healthy house. Quiet and secluded, environmentally conscious retreat for those who enjoy birdwatching and walks, dark skies, owl hoots and wood fires.

Quiet countryside location yet only 4 miles into Carlisle City centre. Ample private parking. Peaceful garden has an outdoor wood burner for eating al-fresco or just star gazing. The Northern Lake District and Hadrian's Wall are both less than a 30 minute drive away, and Carlisle City Centre is just a few minutes drive.

Our new handcrafted shepherds hut has en-suite facilities and underfloor heating. It has an enclosed patio with seats and a chiminea. We are situated in a very quiet part of Northumberland with excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, we have disused railway lines with viaduct and riverside walks. Nearby is the market town of Alston, Penrith and the north lakes, Barnard Castle in Teasdale. Stanhope in Weardale. Hadrian's wall, Hexham, Brampton and Carlisle

The Sty & The Stable

A slice of Cumbrian country living is available in this bespoke annex. Sleeps up to 6 people (1 double bed, 2 x double sofa beds all in separate rooms), The Sty and The Stable (with a nod to its former uses in years gone by), offers free parking and all of the amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay. Situated directly in front of a working dairy farm, the property also has its own small holding that includes the resident pig 'George', ducks, chickens, dogs and many more family pets.

Located amid Low Abbey's woodland, rich with narcissi and bluebells in the spring, adjacent to the old damson orchard, at the end of Hadrian's Wall. There is a small well equipped kitchen with hob, fridge and microwave for preparing light meals. The local pub is a 10 minute walk and serves excellent food with other good food pubs just down the road. Guests are welcome to share use of our BBQ corner with fabulous view of the mountains.

Granted UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2017, this area makes an ideal base for touring NW Cumbria, cycling, hiking fells & round lakes, climbing, canoeing, an en-route stopover for the Coast to Coast Cycle Route or a peaceful, romantic location for a countryside retreat.
