Woodbank Schoolhouse, Clarence, Kaikoura Coast

This cottage is the original School House alongside the now retired Woodbank School at Clarence. Situated in the beautiful Clarence Valley 30 minutes north up the Kaikoura coast . Great walks, Biking, mountain bike Park at Middle Hill, Raft the Clarence River, fish at the river mouth, swim or surf on the coast, 20 minutes to The Store at Kekerengu, or the numerous cafes in Kaikoura. View the seals at colony 10 minutes down the coast...Or you can sit back and read a book and listen to the birds.

Centrally located on the beautiful Kaikoura Esplanade with the beach and stunning mountain views at the end of the driveway. Just a short walk in either direction along the new beach path takes you either to the Pier Hotel, or past Hiku Restaurant and Encounter Kaikoura Cafe if walking towards the town centre which is approx 15 minutes away. The Pohutukawa Cottage...Tranquil and Unusual

Quirky cottage completely renovated using as many recycled materials as possible with some special touches. Recycled materials were used from The Art Deco Mayfair threatre in Kaikoura. Also materials used from The Adelphi Hotel built in 1918. Kitchen custom made out of recycled cross arms off power polls and various other native timbers. Modern conveniences with stacks of retro and rustic charm. Enjoy a hot outdoor bath with a view to the mountains and two minutes walk to the beach.
