The Tail Race....just 1 mile from Wheeler Dam

This is one of the original cabins that overlooked the tail race during construction of Wheeler Dam. It was later sold and moved to this location. The home is about 1 mile from the dam and it has a circle drive to covered parking and a 2 car pole barn. Conveniently located within minutes to many boat ramps on the Tennessee River. Within walking distance to restaurants and a few minute drive to food and gas. It has WiFi and dish and it has a well stocked kitchen. Great fishing, good neighbors.

This little cabin is the perfect place for a quite get away . A country setting where you can enjoy walking trails and a spring fed creek perfect for wading and swimming. At night sit by the fire pit and enjoy the country atmosphere with an abundance of wildlife. The cabin sits on 68 acres you can explore and has 2 bedroom 1 bath sleeps up to 5. Being located on the AL/ TN line it’s 5 minutes from Interstate 65 ,25 minutes from Huntsville, AL and 1.5 hours to both Birmingham and Nashville.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful home right off the water. House has been completely remodeled inside. Watch the sunset from the living room or patio. Great for family and friends to have a getaway or great for fisherman. Plenty of space inside and outside to hangout with family. We have a gas grill and bluetooth speakers on the patio. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Freshly painted, newly renovated, and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping! Update as of 04/2026: While I do accept pets, moving forward we can only house hypoallergenic dogs. Due to allergies, extreme shedding and cats destroying the furniture, we have decided to scale back on the dogs we allow.
