The Lodge

Travel time from Shannon and Knock international airports is approximately 1hour. Beautiful timber/stone barn c200 yrs old renovated in 2015 to a high standard, set on an organically/permaculture inspired smallholding in countryside close to historic town Athenry. Featuring a large double bedroom with 4 poster bed, a sleeping loft, suitable for children/young adults. Fully fitted Kitchen. Contemporary Shower room with Compost Toilet. We have a wood-fired sauna and cold shower spa area available for guests on one* night of your stay, subject availablity/arangement.

The Nest is a bright, beautifully restored countryside retreat carved from a 200-year-old stone cow barn and reimagined as a contemporary hideaway for couples and solo travellers looking to slow down and breathe. Large windows frame the green fields and Galway stone walls flooding the space with natural light. It's cosy considered and quietly special. Connemara and Cliffs of Moher are equidistant, Galway City is 20 minutes away, Michelin-starred Lignum Restaurant is 10 minutes away.

Romantic Hideaway - 1850's Schoolhouse

The Old Schoolhouse was built in 1850, and has been beautifully restored. It's got a long and rich history, dating back to the Irish Famine. My dad went to school here, we lived in it as a family growing up and I wanted to share some of the history of the buildng with visitors. It's been updated with fast (150mb) fiber internet, and it's very cozy and warm. We just added a modern, private workspace outside for remote working - fast internet, private, monitors, great for Zoom calls!
