Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views & Hot Tub

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Ideal for that relaxing romantic break for two people. Beautifully furnished it has a comfortable interior, a private balcony and courtyard, there is also a private large lawn with a fire pit and cooking grill. A great place for walks across the Blackmore Vale, there are several footpaths close by.

Beautiful converted cow shed in rural Dorset

This beautiful studio is in a converted cow shed in the garden of a 15th Century thatched farm house. It sleeps two, has a bright en-suite and a convenient little kitchen with all basics required for a stay, including a fridge, kettle, airfryer & microwave. The Cow Shed is in the hamlet of Margaret Marsh, 4 miles to the south-west of the ancient market town of Shaftesbury. It provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay, surrounded only by the working dairy farm next door, and lots of fields.

Our luxury shepherds hut is situated in our 4 acre meadow shared with our herd of sheep in the beautiful North Dorset countryside. The village of Fontmell Magna is in a conservation area and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a dark skies reserve. The Hut faces over the lake with glorious, uninterrupted views over the Fontmell Downs. The Hut is but offers a luxurious glamping opportunity with all the mod cons. Suitable for 2 adults and 2 small children is suitable all year round.

In the heart of Hinton St Mary, a 2 minute walk to the Tithe Barn wedding venue and surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside perfect for walkers and cyclists. The village pub is a few steps away and the market town of Sturminster Newton with its mill, shops, cafes, bars and takeaways is less than 2 miles away.

The Barn is a converted property located at the head of the stunning Tarrant valley within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The main living area has dual aspect and bifold doors out onto an enclosed patio, garden and seating area. Calling all stargazing romantics Big Bear Shepherds Hut is for you. Nestled in the Blackmoor Vale, an area celebrated for its dark skies. You’ll be (a little bit) off-grid, three miles from the Saxon hill fort Hambledon Hill, two miles to the local pub and a short walk to our lake. With a king-size bed, underfloor heating, kitchen, fridge gas hob, microwave, wood-burning stove & BBQ, you’ll have everything you need at your rustic hideaway for a stellar experience far from the madding crowd.

Cosy 1-bedroom cottage in Dorset

Welcome to peace and relaxation in my Grade II listed cottage in historic Shaftesbury. The self-catering cottage is in a unique gated courtyard near the foot of Gold Hill and is within a short walk of the town centre and a local pub. It is compact and therefore suitable for singles and couples (I do not accept 3rd party bookings), and we also welcome well-behaved pets. You will have use of a private enclosed garden a short walk from the cottage, and on-street parking is available nearby.

Modern & spacious house in the countryside.

The Pavilion is a modern, purpose built holiday house in the quiet Somerset village of Yarlington. It has all the conveniences: Wood burning stove, underfloor heating, Washer & tumble dryer, Iron & ironing board, fast fibre optic broadband and a charging station for an electric or plug in hybrid car, but sadly the mobile phone signal is very poor. The house is next to the pub and a stones throw from the church. The Newt and Hauser Wirth Gallery in Bruton are within a 15 minute drive.

Wild Hare, Pure comfort in a heavenly spot.

Wild Hare is tiny but perfectly formed for you to get away from everyday life. It has a sumptuous king size bed with goose down bedding and a well equipped bathroom with hot shower. We are surrounded with beautiful countryside, great walks and only 40 minutes from the Jurassic coastline. After a day out, light the fire pit and listen to the Owls and watch the hares play infront of the hut. We are in a designated dark skies area so the stars can be amazing. A truely romantic get away.

Far from the madding crowd…. Newly renovated & part of a still working farm built for the Duke of Westminster in 1852, The Barn is light, spacious & stylish. Exceptionally furnished, equipped to a very high standard & with two bedrooms, two bathrooms & a fenced, private garden, everything is here for a perfect rural retreat. The Barn sits alongside, but completely separate from, the old farmhouse, so if you should need anything then your host, Frankie, will be able to help.
