La Orquidea which opened in May of 2005 is the only private guest house snuggled in the crater on the shores of Laguna de Apoyo. It has been designed as your "home away from home" with complete kitchen, private bath, living and dining areas. Balconies from both levels of the home provide spectacular views of the cleanest laguna in Nicaragua. The tranquil enviroment is home to countless migrating and indigenous birds. We hope you will enjoy your time relaxing here, and soaking up the sun, taking a hammock on a two hour ride to nowhere or hiking the crater your house sits in. Here you will enjoy the epitome of indoor-outdoor living and soak in the spectacular panoramic laguna views. The home is right on the lakes edge so you can easily swim in the thermal waters or take out one of our kayaks. The vacation retreat is fully appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay including a chef's kitchen, air-conditioned bedrooms, filtered water, barbeque and firepit.

Hot water and Smart Tv... everything you need to live long-term in full comfort while being in the jungle far far away from the city blues. Stunning views of the volcano range including Volcan Momotombo and all the peace of the country make this a quiet getaway. It's location halfway between Leon and Managua also make it ideal. Our guests enjoy the relaxation after their volcano adventures before continuing their Nicaraguan itinerary. Many guests extend their stay and hunker down with a good book by the pool. De tweepersoonsbungalow is een studio en geschikt voor alleenstaanden en stellen. Er is een stabiele WIFI-verbinding voor digital nomads. Het is hier rustig en het klimaat is aangenaam. Eigen huisdieren is niet mogelijk. Op 1.5 km ligt het stadje Masatepe, waar een supermarkt is en een dagelijkse markt voor groente en fruit.

Go for an early morning kayak (included) and the many beautiful birds, monkeys, lizards, geckos, butterflies, bats, and squirrels around the property.

Casa Abierta is safe & secluded - just 20 min. from Managua but feels far from the heat and noise. Deck has gorgeous views & house is open plan w/ loft, kitchen, living/bedroom. Lots of screens for airflow, so it's very cool. Accessible to Managua in charming rural village next to forest walks on trails with views & wood-fired hot tub. *Note: Our place is extra peaceful because we *do not* have WiFi!
