Peaceful accommodation in rural Dorset

Accommodation is located just outside the village of Kington Magna, north Dorset between Shaftesbury, 7 miles, and Sherborne, 9 miles, and set in the owner’s grounds. Well situated for visits to the many National Trust properties in the area, the sea (about 45 mins), Bath and Salisbury (both 50 mins). Living area (kitchen/lounge) is on the first floor with double bedroom/ensuite bathroom and on ground floor twin bedroom/shower. Garden with patio and furniture. No smoking. One pet considered.

Dog friendly Cottage in rural Dorset ( The Shed)

Cottage lovingly converted from a once gardeners shed and apple store which used to belong to the main house built in 1890 . Has a very National trust feel to the place wild flower beds have been created and in spring time the cottage looks onto the apple tree in bloom and daffodils. 15 square metres sunny gravel courtyard . To the side of the cottage is a victorian greenhouse with original vines that produce grapes and beds of Rosemary and thyme amongst the Rhubarb it's a real Cottage garden .

A great place for walks across the Blackmore Vale, there are several footpaths close by.

This beautiful studio is in a converted cow shed in the garden of a 15th Century thatched farm house. It sleeps two, has a bright en-suite and a convenient little kitchen with all basics required for a stay, including a fridge, kettle, airfryer & microwave. The Cow Shed is in the hamlet of Margaret Marsh, 4 miles to the south-west of the ancient market town of Shaftesbury. It provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay, surrounded only by the working dairy farm next door, and lots of fields.

Our period property lies in the beautiful Blackmore Vale, close to the historic town of Sherborne, and an hours drive from the stunning beaches of the Jurassic coast. Historic attractions like The Newt, Sherborne Castle, Stourhead and Longleat are within easy reach, as is the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury. Stalbridge has everything you need, with cafes, an award winning independent supermarket, takeaways, post office, a pub, an Indian restaurant, and plenty of countryside walks to enjoy.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature in a recently renovated barn conversion. The open plan living arrangement gives you fantastic views of the countryside to enjoy the wildlife around you. Enjoy breakfast on the decking with no direct neighbours. But within a short drive you are in Sherborne Town giving all the amenities needed for a perfect stay away. Walking distance of a local country pub if you require. Centrally located for fun packed days out from Stonehenge, Stourhead, Longleat, Gold Hill, to Monkey World, Sherborne Castle and the Jurassic Coast. It’s also a very short drive to the popular Todber fishing lakes and historic Shaftesbury.

The Pavilion is a modern, purpose built holiday house in the quiet Somerset village of Yarlington. It has all the conveniences: Wood burning stove, underfloor heating, Washer & tumble dryer, Iron & ironing board, fast fibre optic broadband and a charging station for an electric or plug in hybrid car, but sadly the mobile phone signal is very poor. The house is next to the pub and a stones throw from the church. The Newt and Hauser Wirth Gallery in Bruton are within a 15 minute drive.
