Melrose & Tweedbank railway station is a 10 min drive, Edinburgh is just under an hour away.

The toilet and bathroom are located on the first level, while the bedroom is on the upper level. While many guests find the layout comfortable, it may not be ideal for those with limited mobility.

Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

My place, close to transport links, is a perfect base for country or city. The flat, originally a 1920’s bungalow, is in the downstairs part of the house separated by a locked door and we live in the upstairs part of the house. We’re in the heart of the historic Scottish Borders with beautiful Edinburgh only 50 minutes away by train. Why not relax with a glass of wine in the private garden, jacuzzi bath or snooker room or curl up on the window seat with a good book.
