Comfortable, dog-friendly steading conversion

Coshelly Steading is on the edge of Rothienorman, a village with a pub, a Chinese, an excellent Morrisons Daily shop and a Zero Waste shop, all about 10 minutes walk from the house. It is a newly converted steading, attached to our house and surrounded by fields. Plenty of parking, WiFi, TV etc. Dogs are welcome. There are mountains, the coast and many castles, all within easy driving distance and plenty of pleasant walks nearby. Free range eggs from our chickens, when they are in the mood.

Seagreens Cottage

Seagreens Cottage is a hidden gem, within metres of the sea. There is one bathroom - a bath, separate shower, a living room with comfortable sofas and wood burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen/diner.There is a secure garden to the side and the back of the cottage with a patio and an open front garden that leads onto the beach.The beachfront location provides stunning views whatever the weather. It is ideal for a relaxing break or for a family holiday exploring the surrounding area.

Guthrie's Den, Banff. Coastal, sea view retreat

Enjoy the beautiful, ever-changing views from your coastal town hideaway over Banff harbour and bay and across to Macduff. Chill out on the windowseat and just watch the waves roll in. Fresh milk, bread and a few treats await in the welcome pack. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is lots of hot water for a relaxing bath or shower. There are books, games, fast broadband and Netflix. A short stroll takes you to your choice of two fantastic sandy beaches or in to historic Banff.

Door to the Shore is a modern day equivalent of a Bothy made from upturned boats used by fisherfolk as housing, situated 2 meteres from the slipway into this ancient harbour in Pitullie named Craighaven harbour. It is a luxurious Eco Pod crafted in the style of an upturned boat made from Larch Wood. It has underfloor heating, , a wetroom, smart tv, wifi, surround sound, wireless phone charger and iPhone docking station, kitchenette and contains the finest in bedding and appliances.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

Banff sports centre/swimming pool is a 5min walk, Duff House Royal Golf Club and Duff House /Grounds is a 15min walk.

The Den

The Den is a stunning stone built 1 bedroom cottage finished and furnished to the highest standard offering a very comfortable stay for our guests. Set in a quiet rural location and within easy reach of Aberdeenshire’s many attractions makes it the perfect location for your getaway. The open plan kitchen / diner has a fully fitted modern kitchen. A full size single bed can also be added to the large bedroom to accommodate 3 guests. There is outside seating and patio area.

After a day at the beach, you can stroll back to your private house near the Market Square in lovely Stonehaven. You can cook a meal in the stocked kitchen and dine al fresco in the back enclosed garden. Relax in the 2 bedrooms, with an additional quiet bonus room tucked away with a sofa that could be used for an office. This a cozy and comfortable home base in Aberdeenshire, close to woodland walks, golf courses, the lively harbour and beach.

Wee hoose close to Ballater/Braemar/Cairngorms

Delightful 1850s detached cottage set in idyllic protected woodland on edge of Torphins village. The village has a pub, cafe, chinese takeaway and Scot Mid grocery store. There is a doctor, veterinary surgery, charity shop, golf club and excellent on the doorstep adventure for all levels. Torphins is ideally located between Deeside and Donside for access to the fishing and hunting with Cairngorm national park also within 10 minutes drive.

Old schoolhouse in the countryside

Cosy, homely, private cottage in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside. Light the log burner and sit back to relax. The old schoolhouse (built in 1866) has loads of character and feels remote and quiet despite being well situated just off the main Banff/Huntly road. Banff is about 5 minutes drive. The garden is large and you have full run of the whole premises during your stay. There are some lovely walks from the house.

Forglen Estate-Forglen Lodge

The Lodge can sleep up to 6 people. It has a lovely Scottish heritage feel inside and lots of architectural character on the outside. The mantel for the open fire inside was made from elm wood grown on the estate and there is some history to be discovered about the external features . Almost like living in your own mini castle during your stay! There are amazing walks and wildlife on the estate too!
