With photo-ready furnishings, white cotton and linen bedding, and subtle antique decor, our cottage exudes a warm vibe that will make you feel right at home. Please, no wild parties or drug use. Our home is nestled down a small hill in a hollow that has a lovely little creek at the back. There are only 2 houses in our small hollow and we share a cul-de-sac. We are a single detached house that backs up to woods and the creek. From the front porch you can see the neighbor's home across the cul-de-sac but from the elevated back wrap-around deck you can only see woods and the creek. We have a very peaceful setting. YET we are only 1 mile and less than 5 min from the charming town square

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.
