Ahh....The Good Life Cottage is located approximately five miles north of Laurel, MS where it began on a patch of ground that was fully cultivated from the 1900's to the 1960's, afterwards it became a family farm that grew corn, hay, and food for livestock and family. Today, on the land is a farmhouse with modern amenities as well as the sights and sounds of nature all around you, frogs croaking, crickets chirping, deer feeding, turkeys foraging, and owls hooting. A place to enjoy the Good Life.

You can get away from everything while experiencing all that Laurel has to offer. FUN FACT: The main bedroom features 2 bathrooms, a 'his' and 'hers'. If you ever wondered if separate bathrooms were worth it, they are! You will just love visiting Laurel.

Covered parking near the entry. The Magnolia Guesthouse was featured on HGTV’s Home Town S5, Ep12. Sadly, wasn't chosen, but we did a full remodel shortly thereafter. Featured on Season 4 of HGTV's Home Town, this little oasis of tranquility is lovingly referred to as "The Littlest House". The spacious one bedroom home highlights several unique design updates that have been tailored to the owner's individual style. Nestled beneath four sprawling pecan trees, this ancestral farm house boasts two porches and plenty of shade for you to catch a sunrise/sunset during your visit. Two kitty cats do live outside so If you have pet allergies, please beware.

Enjoy easy access to popular shops and restaurants inLaurel from this cozy cottage. Our home was featured on HGTV’s HomeTown. While we live in the main house, we had Katie (contractor on show) remodel the two rooms behind us as guest rooms. We have added carvings to the landscape, a whole house generator, and a few places to sit and enjoy the outside. Our episode was called Woodland Wonderland, but better known as the Hobbit House.
