Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". The cottage is very quiet with fine views over the forth road bridges to Fife. Free parking and access to electric car charger. Well trained Dogs are most welcome, but there is a charge. A large colourful garden, with a tennis court and croquet lawn surround the property. Eas reach of the village, bus and train station within 3 minutes to Edinburgh.

Our guest suite is in a quiet residential area in Balerno; a village at the foot of the scenic Pentland Hills. A beautiful spot for walkers and nature lovers. To visit the city take a 25 minute car drive or the 44 Lothian bus at the end of the road for a 45 min bus ride to Edinburgh City Centre. Complimentary milk, coffee, tea and sugar plus cereal for your first breakfast. Shops, restaurants, bars, cafe & takeaways within a short walk. A parking spot on the drive is available on request.

Shaftesbury Park is a comfortable artist-owned traditional ground floor flat in a Victorian terraced house with fast wifi and its own little garden. It lies two miles southwest of Edinburgh Castle in a leafy conservation area and is only a short bus ride from all major visitor attractions. A well-stocked delicatessen is just across the road and provides delicious croissants and wines. Active guests love the 30min walk along the scenic Union Canal which takes them straight to the city centre.

Our beautiful, sun filled, cosy apartment dates from the late 18th Century, and is situated on the historic Royal Mile which stretches from Edinburgh Castle to The Palace of Holyrood. It is in an ideal location to explore our wonderful city. It is situated on the third floor and on one side has superb views of the Edinburgh landscape such as Calton Hill with its eclectic collection of monuments, on the other the Royal Mile itself - a great place to watch the pageantry at Festival time.
