Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Barleydean Suite is situated in a private annex in a country house. At the edge of the Pentland Hills, you can hike from your front door, wander to the local pub or take a bus to Edinburgh. The suite has private access for guests. It has 1 bedroom with a super king-size bed for 2 guests. Up to 2 foldaway single beds can be provided on request. Maximum occupancy is 4 people. There is a kitchenette suitable for light cooking, with hob, microwave, Nespresso, toaster, and washing machine.

Our "Newly" refurbished house has an outdoor raised balcony with seating providing stunning views overlooking the River Teith. We have a fully fitted kitchen, open plan living area with two sofas, a double bedroom and lovely shower room and to the rear is a garage. It makes a cosy and relaxing hub suitable for a short break or longer holiday and is in a peaceful central location only a two minute walk from the towns Main Street with its variety of bars, shops and restaurants.

Deer Park Cottage, Scottish Private Estate

Deer Park cottage is situated within the private Scottish estate garden and is surrounded by the deer park. It is the most secluded of cottages and offers a very private and natural hideaway. Powered by wood pellet boiler and on its own water system supplied from the Ochills you can feel completely at one with nature. On occasions you can wake up to deer grazing within feet of your bedroom window and be lulled to sleep by the hooting of owls or wind blowing through the trees.

Ancient Castle above the River Tweed

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

The Historic Dalkeith Water Tower

The water tower is a bespoke home in an historic building sensitively converted by its architect owner. The tower is located in the historic town of Dalkeith and the settlement of Eskbank. 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh airport. A bus service into Edinburgh stops every 10- 15 minutes, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. 25 minutes by rail to the Scottish Borders or to the centre of Edinburgh from the local Eskbank Train Station, a 20 minute walk from the tower.
