We have a secluded courtyard to sit and contemplate whilst having a glass of wine and reading magazines from our selection. Enjoy an easy bike to town or "The Lions Walk" on the lakefront on our electric bikes, a super way to see the sights and come home smiling.

We are in easy reach of some of NZ's' most stunning hikes. An Easy 40 minutes to Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro Crossing, local river walks, supermarket and eateries 10 mins. Ski season is all go.

John Scott is one of NZ’s premier architects renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we’re delighted to share it with the Air BnB community. A self contained wing of our home sits in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We’re a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

Approximately 8-10 minute drive to the outskirts of town, Massey University, the IPU Tertiary Institute and to our local Summerhill shopping centre with a supermarket, takeaways, laundry, café’s and restaurants. Palmerston North's CBD is about 13 km's. Your private entrance leads to a guest suite attached to our house with a lounge, separate double and single bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette with basic supplies for preparing meals.

"The Unit" is a Private self contained space away from the main house at the rear of the Garage. It is cosy with views of the countryside. Located 3 minutes up the hill from Taihape township. The Unit gives you all the comforts of home on your journey so you can relax and enjoy your stay. Taihape is a farming town and with the Main Highway going right through it's centre, plenty of choice for dining out. Taihape is commonly Warm summer and cold winter weather. We cater for both.

Our self-contained suite is situated away from the main house and is ideal for a couple, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We provide a comfy bed and optional cooked breakfast. As well as full cooking facilities. Time it right and you can help yourself to seasonal produce from the garden and free range eggs from our lovely chooks.

Kawau - House Upstairs - private area

Kawau is a new home built in the character style of the 1900's. Situated on 1.5 acres with a large lawn. Take the bridge over the Little Kawau stream to wander the paths of our garden or relax on our covered decks. We are adjacent to Schnell Wetlands walkways. 5 minutes from PN Airport and 10 minutes to Manfeild, the centre of Palmy, or Ashhurst for the famous Gorge Walk. We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12.
