Stylishly furnished with many original architectural details - 13 foot ceilings, original hardwood floors and mantles, clawfoot tub with shower, and private, landscaped courtyard. Stylishly furnished - the living room sports a 52 inch t.v. + Amazon Fire Stick - the bedroom has a Tempurpedic king size mattress - the fully equipped kitchen has a residential size fridge and stove with seating for four. The private courtyard is located right off of the kitchen with a Weber charcoal grill and seating for four as well. Central heat and air, dishwasher, wifi, Keurig coffee maker, iron/ironing board and blow dryer. This apartment, as well as the courtyard, is private. You have your own gated entrance. It is not a shared space. We live on the property so if there is something you need, we can quickly respond and assist you. The home is in the historic, offbeat Marigny district, known for its bistros, bars, and music venues, adored by locals as well as vacationers. Walk to the French Quarter, Bywater, and Frenchman Street. Public transport and bike rental are close by. Located steps away from the St Claude bus line and a 8 minute walk to the St Claude streetcar line, both can take you to every part of the city. Walk or bike to Frenchman St and the French Quarter. Cook in our modern and updated kitchen with Stainless steel appliances, gas stove and beautiful Quartz countertops. The living room includes a comfortable futon couch that converts to a double bed, 42" Smart TV with cable, extra seating, and books and games for entertainment. Sleep like a baby in the master bedroom on a luxurious queen memory foam bed, with 32" Smart TV, large closet, side lamps with USB ports and access to the backyard. The smaller, second bedroom includes a day bed with trundle - great for kids!- as well as a desk with comfortable chair to use as a workspace. The gorgeous bathroom includes a large soaking tub with moveable shower handle, plush towels and bathrobes and hair dryer! Guests have full use of the home and it's amenities. Take a stroll to Velvet Taco for Mexican fare, then head to Candleroom to dance the night away. Uber & Lyft are the most convenient way to get around town without your own transportation. There are LIME BIKES parked all over the city that you can rent via app for $1/hour. There are also 3 DART stops within 5 minutes walk- all off Henderson- that will take you into downtown or can link you to a rail station nearby to get to your destination. There is a keypad entry on the front door so no need to keep track of a set of keys. The home has an alarm system for additional piece of mind and if you're comfortable using it, we can supply a personal code to use during your stay. Also, Monday is our trash and recycle day. Someone will come by (outside only) to take to curb early that morning.
