Wild Olive Cottage

Wild Olive is in a conservancy on a cattle farm 12 km from Graaff Reinet, through the National Park. Recently restored, it's an ideal base for walking, photography, mountain biking etc. Fully self-catering, 1 double bed, bathroom, aircon, fireplace, plunge pool, bbq. AIRCONS ARE PROVIDED FOR COOLING THE HOUSES IN THE HOT SUMMER MONTHS FROM OCTOBER -APRIL, NOT FOR HEATING AS THE FARM IS ON SOLAR. Electric blankets, blankets, duvets, hot water bottles are provided and each house has a fireplace.

The Owl Nest House - vacation living, farm style.

The Owl Nest sleeps up to 8 guests (6 adults and 2 kids). A 2nd level braai area seats 14 people around a 4m table. The house offers 3 bedrooms and 2 on-suite bathrooms. Note - the bathroom arrangement allow for occupation of not more than 2 couples/families. The well-equipped kitchen comes fitted with a dishwasher & 2x retro fridges. Coffee & tee is provided. Slow burning fireplace, electric blankets, heaters & camping cot. A tranquil setting on the edge of town - a true Karoo farm feeling.

Surrounded by beautiful views, guests can access a variety of walks, Restaurants, shops and the Owl House from here. Our cottage boasts a typical Karoo style open-plan kitchen, Dover stove, living room, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, main bedroom with double bed, spare room with two single beds. Entertainment patio overlooking the courtyard and garden.

Looking beautiful after some rain! Cottage has fully equipped kitchen and 2 en-suite bedrooms as well as a sleeper couch in the living area. Living area has airconditioning. Bethesda Tower B&B

A fairy-tale tower, ideal for a romantic couple or adventurous family. The unit is a duplex. The top floor's huge round bed has 360°views, and on the middle floor are twin beds / lounge. The bathroom is on the ground floor down external spiralling stairs. A unique experience! Our rate includes a delicious breakfast, which is served from our on-site Tower Café. Dinner is available on request, at the time of booking.

Playwright's House, Nieu-Bethesda

This unpretentious, rustic and secluded Karoo home is where internationally acclaimed playwright and writer Athol Fugard wrote between 1990 and 2017. It's on the peaceful northeastern corner of our quaint village. Crystal-clear Karoo air, intense night skies, crackling winter fires, tranquillity. The cottage draws travellers, explorers, friends & families seeking connection; and it's an inspiring creative space.

Charming Heritage Cottage

This historic townhouse is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The private courtyard is ideal for a braai (barbecue), or a quiet coffee. The house is child-friendly, and pets are welcome too. A gun-safe is provided, ideal for hunters. The stove is gas, so cooking during load-shedding is never a problem! As with many Graaff-Reinet houses, there is ONLY ON-STREET PARKING. There is also no TV.

The Tradesman

The Tradesman Shop is a quirky and historic unit with a beautiful courtyard and braai area. It is the last Tradesman shop that is still connected to the main house and dates from the 1850’s. It’s still has the original “brakdakkie”-ceiling so don’t get a fright when a piece of historic dust comes loose from the ceiling. The large courtyard at the back is a treat. Please note the unit operates on a gas geyser.

We renovated the property extensively, whilst paying respect to the heritage and character of the home. The interiors have been beautifully curated and designed, with top quality bedding and utilities.

Dalham Farm Cottage (P), 10km from Graaff-Reinet

Paddock cottage offers accommodation for 4 people in 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. An open plan lounge and kitchen area with an outside braai area. Guests are free to explore the farm and soak up the unique atmosphere. 10 minutes drive from Graaff-Reinet. Ideally situated as a stopover or to relax for a couple of days.
