En busca de la aurora boreal con fotos (grupo pequeño)
Embark on an extraordinary Arctic adventure with our exclusive Northern Lights Tour, a small group excursion designed for a maximum of 6 participants. The tour is guided by Norwegian local guides with experience in Arctic conditions. Our primary goal is to chase clear skies, maximizing our chances of witnessing the enchanting Northern Lights. The excursion spans 5-6 hours and takes us in various directions away from the city lights, allowing us to explore the most promising vantage points for this awe-inspiring natural spectacle. The Arctic weather adds an element of unpredictability to our journey. Some nights, the lights gracefully dance directly above us, creating a surreal atmosphere. Other nights, we embark on a true "hunt," possibly reaching the Finnish border, a 2-3 hour drive from Tromsø. While sightings are frequent, there are no guarantees, making each excursion a unique and thrilling experience. Be prepared for an outdoor experience with a warm car close by. Our small group size allows for flexibility and personalized attention. Throughout the evening, we make several stops to observe the lights, with longer breaks featuring a bonfire, a portion of soup or stew, and hot drinks - all subject to weather and light conditions. Private- and group tours are available upon request.
Nature Bow Game - Archery experience
Your adventure starts in a glade just outside the city. You will be equipped with full archery equipment (bow, arrows and all the protections) and trained on how to use them with precision and safety. Here you will be granted the mastery to perform the full adventure: putting your skills to the test with the targets which you will find during the hunting trip. You will be shown the path, but it will be up to you, as the protagonist: it’s you who will spot the prey, silently approach it and loose the winning arrow. At the end, after the walking trip, sitting in the wood with a cup of tea and some biscuits, we will celebrate the hunt and your scores. -NOTE: Archery equipment (as bow and arrows) are by any law considered as "not weapons" (but rather "sport equipment") and requires no weapon license. No animal are wounded during the activity: although realistic, the targets are all made of plastic. Beside that, safety is of our imperative, paramount concern- Other things to note We will hike and we shoot with a bow to targets on the path: you need to be normally fit as for any outdoor activity. I can not accept children younger than 14 years old for security reason. Remember waterproof shoes: the place is incredibly beautiful, but the ground is very often wet.
Dog sled ride through spectacular mountain nature
Dog sled ride through the spectacular “Stordalen”! Join us on an unforgettable winter dog sled ride with our super-friendly huskies. You can drive a dog team and learn how to deal with a team of polar dogs! After a quick check of your gear (we have warm boots for you, if necessary), you will be involved in all the steps of handling a Husky team, from preparing the sled, to harnessing the dogs and to driving and steering a dog sled! Two persons share a sled and can swap driving halfway. That makes it also easier making photos. We drive into the beautiful and breathtaking valley “Stordalen”, surrounded by frozen waterfalls and high cliffs. After the tour, we warm up at the cozy campfire in our lavvo (tipi) with coffee and snacks. Here you have the opportunity to learn more about our way of life in the far north with more than 90 dogs. In good weather, the wonderful northern lights (Aurora Borealis) can be observed in the starry sky. Previous knowledge in dog sledding is not required. Anyone who is fit enough for cycling or skiing can take part in our adventure. You will get a thorough introduction in husky handling and maneuvering a dog sled. However, participating in these activities requires some physical strength and balance. Of course, you will get help from us in all tasks! Combine your activity with booking a cabin at Bardu Huskylodge
