The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. You will stay in an efficiency apartment above our detached garage which is in a quiet location (although occasionally our dogs bark when outside). Bright, quiet, clean studio apartment easy 45 minute drive to Acadia National Park, 5 minute drive to scenic Blue Hill village. Hiking trails are less than a mile away and plenty of fresh and salt water access nearby. Outside table and chairs surrounded by trees, birds and gardens in a quiet, safe neighborhood at the end of a short dirt road. Enjoy total privacy or ask your hosts for local knowledge.
