The tiny house has its own space and stunning Mt. Hood views, with our main home visible but not impacting your privacy. Designed around a custom moving window wall system, it opens fully to the outdoors, bringing the mountain right into your stay for unforgettable sunrises, sunsets, and true Mt. Hood magic.

Located near the end of a quiet dead end road in Welches, Oregon. Short path to Sandy River. Easy access to HWY 26 and only 15 minutes to Government Camp or Sandy Ridge mountain biking. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings while staying in a newly renovated cabin with all the comforts of home. 2 night min. stay seasonally/Fri/Sat but possibly accept a 1 night stay...just ask. Step out the front door to sweeping Mt Hood views, a 7-acre open prairie, and easy access to hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and outdoor recreation. Sleeps 6 with a queen bedroom and loft with queen bed + futon. Features a full kitchen, clawfoot tub, and fire pit under the stars, perfect for a Mt Hood getaway, romantic retreat, or outdoor basecamp. Pets welcome with additional fees.

Our wonderful guest house is a cozy studio with a queen bed, kitchen, sofa, and dining table in one large room. There is a bathroom with shower. This is a second floor apartment over the detached garage, we live in the main house next door. The property is very secluded well off the road with no other houses nearby and borders the National Forest. Enjoy the spring fed pond in the front yard, a hike along the Sandy river, or a 15 min drive to ski resorts.

Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities. The Hideout | A Modern Tiny Cabin Near Mt. Hood

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.
