Our Shepherds Hut newly built in 2021 sleeps 2 people and nestles nicely into it's own private space just next to the house, which is in a gorgeous rural location in the heart of Snowdonia national park. This hut has electricity, central heating, and hot water making it a cosy and warm place to stay all year round. There is an outdoor firepit/BBQ with table and bench to sit and eat, where you can take in the beautiful view. It's a perfect location for keen walkers and popular area for cyclist's.

There's lush river swimming spots, lakes, waterfalls and mountains to explore. Our nearest beach is Aberdyfi, just 30mins away. 16mins drive to the epic Cadair Idris!

There’s lots of different walks to be tackled, and if you decide to take it easy, put your feet up and enjoy the stunning views from the balcony or from our newly installed patio area with a firepit/bbq .

‘Cut Y Barwn’ is a private Shepherds Hut located on the Southern edge of Snowdonia National Park. Situated just off the A458, 3 miles before Mallwyd and 8 minutes drive to Dinas Mawddwy, the hut has private access, parking, and farmland valley views. Our electricity is sourced through hydro power and our wood is from wind-fallen trees on the farm. We are dog friendly!
