The history of this Santa Cruz County gem is unique. While the old barn and rusty silo remind us of its ranching heritage, the Hacienda itself is elegant and quite refined. Its interior courtyard walls feature priceless murals of famous Mexican muralist and bullfighter Salvador Corona, painted in 1942 and 1955. It's no wonder that John Wayne and other Hollywood luminaries were attracted to this cool, high desert location where they could hide from the world, rest, relax and have a little fun.
La Patrona was the mistress of the household, a world traveler and collector. This spacious Jr. Suite with its king bed, down comforter and pillows, historic stone fireplace, guest refrigerator, limestone shower, Jacuzzi tub, azure glass water basins and rare shell collection reflects luxury seldom afforded a typical ranch wife. French doors open onto the West facing lavender garden and a beautiful view of the breathtaking Arizona sunsets.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests will have access to our spacious living room with a beautiful fireplace and stereo with in-ceiling speakers. Attached to the living room is our social "bar" area where you can watch satellite TV, cozy up to the fireplace and get to know other guests and our bed and breakfast staff. If you need a little more space to spread out and work on that book you're writing, blog about the birds and other wildlife you have seen here on the ranch, you can claim your space in our large dining room. Maybe you'd like to gaze over the pasture as the sun sets with that perfect glass of wine with your spouse or significant other. If the sun isn't your thing, you are more than welcome to sit on our wrap-around porch and watch the cardinals and mud swallows taking little sip of water from our gorgeous historic pool. You're also free to roam our entire ranch and walk among every picturesque square inch of the property. And, yes, you CAN take selfies with our horses. Our oldest horse, Pork Chop, smiles on command!
After you check in, we offer a social cocktail hour where you can get to know us, the history of the ranch and other guests staying with us at the same time. We also have menus for all of our favorite restaurants in the surrounding area that you can browse. If you're not the social butterfly type and you would rather spend time by yourself or just with your significant other and go for a walk, read a book or watch the game, we are happy to let you do so. The choice is yours.
