Thanks for your feedback, Rebecca. To all future travelers: the A/C is a little more than a year old, and it works just fine. A couple of factors contributed to the issue Rebecca had: (1) her trip came in the middle of a brutal heat wave here in San Antonio (which is ongoing as I write this); and (2) there were eight people in her group, so the house was very full and thus harder to cool. I'm sorry it wasn't terribly comfortable during Rebecca's stay (and I wish she'd brought the issue to our attention at the time), but this is not typically a problem in the summer. It's just super hot right now! Also, Rebecca's claim that the house is in a "ruff part of town" is simply not true. The house is in a very centrally located, convenient part of town, close to many of San Antonio's top attractions. I don't know what made it seem "ruff," but as our many other reviews demonstrate, our guests are generally extremely happy with the house and the neighborhood. As Rebecca noted (and as stated in the listing itself), the house is in an older part of town, but this is what gives it its charm and convenience. It's in a family neighborhood consisting of homes built in the 1930s (some of which have been remodeled and some of which retain their original charm with modern updates, like ours). There are certainly newer parts of San Antonio, but these are on the outskirts of town - not convenient to much! We enjoyed hosting Rebecca's group and we always appreciate feedback from our guests. Thanks!
