Creekside pricing is for four guests. Each additional guest, up to seven total, is $25 per person each day.

DOGS: We gladly consider accepting well-behaved dogs at Creekside. We ask for an additional cleaning fee of $50 per stay when dogs visit. Here are the house rules for dogs:

no matter how tidy, dogs make for more work for our housekeeper so we pay her more when there's a dog staying with us.

NOTE: there is a $75 ADDITIONAL pet cleaning fee if any of the following dog rules are not fully followed:

1. ***DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE OR ON/IN THE BEDS*** This is the biggest challenge we have and we don't have any exceptions to this rule.

2. if your dog barks when left alone, then do not leave the dog alone at the cabin. we have neighbors who can hear the barking and they sure let us know when they hear barking.

3. if your dog is totally chill when being left alone and does NOT bark, you must still always leave in his/her crate if you go out.

4. there are doggie gates on the deck so that you can secure the two deck staircases; then your dog may walk freely on the deck.

5. always pick-up after your dog and throw away the poop bags directly into the trash bin outside. even if the dog poops out-of-the-way, it must be picked up.

6. at the end of your stay, please thoroughly sweep the entire cabin with the broom & dustpan kept in the laundry room. please then dispose of all the fur/hair, etc. in the trash bin outside.

thank you for helping to make it possible for us to continue hosting dogs up at Creekside.

please remember, and so that there are no misunderstandings or surprises, if our housekeeper finds that all the fur is not swept up or if there is any fur on the beds or furniture, we will apply the ADDITIONAL $75 pet cleaning fee. I hate to be so blunt, but we have been having some real challenges with some guests ignoring the dog house rules. thank you for your understanding.

Creekside has a wonderful open floor plan with the living room, dining area, and kitchen in a large L-shape; 832 sq. ft. total. There are doors and windows EVERYWHERE. You can head out to the deck from either the kitchen or the dining room. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full size bed, plus a loft above the living room that has a full size bed (you can see the ladder to the loft in the pictures; (PLEASE NOTE THAT IT ISN'T EASY FOR EVERYONE TO CLIMB THE LADDER TO THE LOFT).

WE ARE ON A DELICATE SEPTIC SYSTEM. PLEASE READ THE INFO ON THE SYSTEM IN THE HOUSE INFO BOOK ON THE DESK IN THE LIVING ROOM.

Dutch Bill Creek is a stone's throw away from the deck; you can hear the creek running from the bedrooms. The creek is seasonal, and, depending on the rainfall, goes dry from around June to October.

There is a great new 40" HD television and we have cable-tv which includes ON-Demand programming as well as streaming Netflix, Spotify, and more.

Wherever possible, we use high-efficiency florescent lights. These lights sometimes take a moment to illuminate. We do have back-up light bulbs on the top shelf of the closet in the small bedroom.

Disponible para huéspedes

Fully equipped kitchen with oven & stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. Plenty of bowls, plates, glasses, and silverware for your use. Propane gas grill on the deck for your BBQ'ing pleasure.

Atención a los huéspedes

You will be on your own, so enjoy your privacy. Of course, you can reach Peter if need be.

Otros aspectos destacables

Dutch Bill Creek is seasonal. Without unexpected rain late in the spring, the creek will usually dry up from some time in June until the first rain in the fall.

At certain times, such as holidays, long weekends, or Russian River event weeks, there may be a longer minimum stay, up to a full week. We will certainly tell you the options available upon receiving your request.

Also, we try not to split weekends with a two-day stay, e.g. Thursday & Friday or Saturday & Sunday, only.

If you stay a week or longer, one night is at no charge. We are open to longer stays.

Dear AirBnB Guests:

Welcome to the Creekside Cabin.

We very much want to make sure you have a wonderful and relaxing time.

If you discover ANYTHING that we should be doing or could be doing better, you would be doing us a huge favor to let us know. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to provide the most wonderful and relaxing getaway possible for our guests and to earn your Five Star ratings.

If a problem comes up, you can reach Peter by phone / text at: (phone number hidden)

Thanks so much for staying with us at Creekside!

WE ARE ON A DELICATE SEPTIC SYSTEM. PLEASE READ THE INFO ON THE SYSTEM IN THE HOUSE INFO BOOK ON THE DESK IN THE LIVING ROOM. PLEASE-PLEASE flush only the septic-safe toilet paper we have provided. Nothing else should ever be flushed down the toilet or washed down the sink. The following will all damage the system: feminine products, paper towels, coffee grounds, hair, bleach, anti-bacterial soaps.

CHECK-OUT TIME IS 11:00AM. It is very important that guests finish closing-up and have the cabin ready for our housekeeper to clean at 11:00am as we often have guests arriving the same afternoon.

Only the persons included in the original reservation may visit the property. No additional guests are permitted without approval.

PROVISIONS: In case you need some basics and don't want to go all the way into Guerneville to Safeway, Bartlett's Market is 1-1/2 miles from the cabin (you practically pass it on the way in). It's open from 730am – 11pm Monday thru Saturday, and 8am – 1030pm on Sunday. After you have turned left onto Bohemian Hwy and crossed the bridge, if you turn right at the stop sign onto Main Street, Bartlett's is one block down on the right.
(phone number hidden)

Please never use any chlorine bleach products or anti-bacterial soaps. These products can damage the septic process.

Please, no smoking (of anything) in the house!! If you smoke on the deck or by the creek, please make sure you put everything out in water; fire hazards are very real in Sonoma County. Please dispose of all smoking remains in the trash bin in the car port so the smell doesn't linger in the house.

DOGS at Creekside

we have a basic pet cleaning fee of $50 per visit (not per day). no matter how tidy, dogs make for more work for our housekeeper so we pay her more when there's a dog staying with us.

NOTE: there is a $75 ADDITIONAL pet cleaning fee if any of the following dog rules are not fully followed:

1. dogs are NOT allowed on the beds or couch.

2. if your dog barks when left alone, then do not leave the dog alone at the cabin. we have neighbors who can hear the barking and they sure let us know when they hear barking.

3. if your dog is totally chill when being left alone and does NOT bark, you must still always leave in his/her crate if you go out.

3. there are doggie gates on the deck so that you can secure the two deck staircases; then your dog may walk freely on the deck.

4. always pick-up after your dog and throw away the poop bags directly into the trash bin outside. even if the dog poops out-of-the-way, it must be picked up.

5. at the end of your stay, please thoroughly sweep the entire upstairs of the cabin with the broom & dustpan kept in the laundry room. please then dispose of all the fur/hair, etc. in the trash bin outside.

thank you for helping to make it possible for us to continue hosting dogs up at Riverview.

please remember, and so that there are no misunderstandings or surprises, if our housekeeper finds that all the fur is not swept up or if there is any fur on the beds or furniture, we will apply the ADDITIONAL $75 pet cleaning fee. I hate to be so blunt, but we have been having some real challenges with some guests ignoring the dog house rules. thank you for your understanding.

INTERNET / WI-FI
There are two networks available at Creekside: Creekside-2.4 & Creekside-5.0

Both networks use the same password: BLOCKED

TELEPHONE LAND-LINE (phone number hidden)
As Verizon is currently the only cell provider that has coverage in this area, we have a land-line for your use. You can forward your cell calls to the land-line as well as make unlimited domestic calls.

If you see a light blinking on the phone stand (behind the TV in the living room), that means there is a message on the voicemail. Just call: (phone number hidden) and the voicemail system will walk you through retrieving your message.

EMERGENCY CELL PHONE
Also stored in the side-table next to the couch is an emergency-only cell phone. The number is: (phone number hidden). If there is a power failure or some other urgent circumstance and the land-line is not working, this cell phone is there for your use.

GETTING IN & OUT
We have a keypad deadbolt lock. No keys to pick-up or keep track of.

TO ENTER:
Note: if you push the top SCHLAGE button, above the number 3, the keypad will light up; this is great at night.

Either after pushing the SCHLAGE button to light the keys or straight away, just enter the four digit code you were given, wait for a click and the green light to blink, and turn the Thumb-Turn below the keypad
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. This will open the deadbolt.

TO LEAVE and LOCK-UP:
Close the door tightly and push the SCHLAGE button; the green light will blink. Then simply turn the Thumb-Turn CLOCKWISE while holding the door against the door jam. After several seconds, the blinking light will stop and you will hear a click. PLEASE TEST THE DOOR TO MAKE SURE THE DEADBOLT IS ENGAGED; just turn the knob below and see if the door will open; if it does, the door wasn't quite snug enough against the door jam. Just repeat the steps and all will be dandy.

POWER CORDS
Just in case, we have power cords for iPhone 4 and iPhone 5/6, as well as for a laptop P.C. These are stored in the side-table next to the couch.

THERMOSTATS
The thermostat for the living room is right above the light switches next to the front door.

Each bedroom has its own baseboard heater. When cold, or if you like a really toasty bedroom, I recommend turning the baseboard heaters on about one-hour before you want to go to bed; make sure to close the doors to keep the heat in.

Turning the knobs on the left side of the baseboard heaters:
CLOCKWISE: ON & HIGHER
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE: LOWER & OFF

HOT WATER
The hot water is hot! Please be careful not to burn yourself.

FIREWOOD & KINDLING
We ask you to provide your own firewood which can be purchased at Safeway. If you'd like a larger amount for a longer stay, the TRUE VALUE hardware store at 15600 River Road in Guerneville, several minutes past the Safeway heading AWAY from Monte Rio towards Highway 101, offers very good firewood.

We do provide all the kindling you will need to start a nice fire. In the corner of the dining area is a box with plenty of kindling; help yourself.

COFFEE
We have both a Cuisinart coffee maker with a gold mesh filter and a single-cup pour-over with paper filters. PLEASE: NEVER PUT COFFEE GROUNDS DOWN THE SINK!! THE SEPTIC CANNOT PROCESS THEM. Coffee grounds should go in the green bin for composting.

We provide one can of coffee to each party to get you going; there is also a coffee grinder if you wish to grind your own beans. In the sugar caddy between the microwave and the coffee maker there is plenty of sugar and Splenda (as well as a measuring scoop). The back-up “sweet” supplies are in the lower right drawer of the butcher block in the kitchen. The coffee maker has a water level on the right side. I have found that each TWO notches on the water level equals ONE real cup of coffee :-)

IN THE FRIDGE & FREEZER
We have stocked-up on some basic condiments for you to use. Please also feel free to partake in any items in the fridge or freezer. Some we have provided and some have been left by previous guests.

PERSONAL ITEMS
We have left some of our personal items at the cabin; some in the lower dresser drawers and some in the closets.

TRASH & RECYCLING & COMPOSTING
Please put all bottles, cans, and clean, dry paper and cardboard in the blue bin in the kitchen next to the stove for recycling. Waxed containers like dairy cartons are not recyclable.

In the green container, please put: soiled paper towels & paper napkins,
egg shells (just crush them a bit first), tea bags, coffee grounds & filters, fruit and vegetable scraps, bread, and pizza crusts (remove the meat & cheese from pizza). We will compost this material instead of throwing it out.

WHAT WE CANNOT HOME-COMPOST: meat, fish, chicken, all bones & shells, limes, oils, dairy, gravy, cardboard (like a pizza box), waxed paper (like dairy containers), and nut shells.

In the white trash bin labeled “LANDFILL,” please throw away anything that can't go into the green or blue bin. Plastic wrap and plastic packaging needs to be thrown out; it cannot be recycled.

CABLE
There is one remote for the TV and one the Cable box. For some reason, you need to stand very close to the TV to turn it on; it's the button on the upper left of the remote. To turn the TV off, you can be almost anywhere in the living room.

CHECKING-OUT: 11:00AM is check-out time.
When it's time for you to depart, we ask for a few helpful steps:

- - Because bath towels take so long to dry and we often need to make Creekside ready in a matter of a few hours, we ask that you please put your bath towels only in the washing machine with one cap-full of detergent. The is detergent in the laundry closet. The detergent goes into the receptacle on the left-upper side of the washing machine (the lower unit of the two). There is a little lever to slide/push to the right to open up the detergent receptacle. --- Please do not put any bleach in with the laundry.

- - Please make sure that the bedroom heaters and the living room thermostat are off.

- - Please wash your dishes and place in the dish rack. We will put them away.

- - Please take your trash / landfill and place in the black bin in the carport and put all of your recycling in the blue bin in the carport. We will take the compost in the green bin and put into our large compost bin.

A HUGE FAVOR
If you are staying over on a Monday, may we please ask you to place the black trash bin and the blue recycling bin out on Monday for pick-up very early Tuesday. They're on wheels and easy to roll. They go against the fence to the left of the carport; handles against the fence.
THANK YOU!!!!

- - Please double check that all of the slide-bolts for the deck doors and the window blocks in the bedrooms are all locked in place to keep the cabin secure.

- - We hope you will write a little in the Guest Book we have sitting on the desk in the living room.

Wishing you a safe trip home!!
Peter & Sean

Amazing cabin with everything you need for a nature get away, yet close enough to shops and restaurants. Peter has been excellent with communication and answered all our questions before arrival and during our stay. Highly recommended!
