Please read the guidelines for the boat. We want you to enjoy your stay with us and have the best time possible. Should you have any questions, please ask the skipper.

Part of the BNB and sailing experience is to see what it's like to be a live aboard on the water without the direct access to water and electricity. Life aboard a vessel has a limited supply of water, battery power/ electricity and waste storage capacity. Over the years honoring these live aboard guidelines has helped reduce the utilities and water usage in our homes and has made us more conscious of the luxury of having these amenities at our disposal 24/7.

Respect:
Please be respectful of the yacht and it’s owners. This is our home on the water. Any acts of disrespect will result in being asked to leave and you will forfeit the remainder of your money.

Safety and Liability:
The boat will remain anchored during your stay. The dinghy is only available to pick guests up at the dock upon arrival and return them upon departure. Water taxi’s must be used any other time.

No adult under 25 years of age. Any minor children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No children under the age of 2 years old, unless prior approval from the owner to comply with Coast Guard regulations.
No additional guests may be brought to the boat. All children under 13 must wear a life vest while on deck for safety. All sizes for all ages are on the boat for your use.

Surfaces may be slippery when wet, especially the decks early in the morning. Safety precautions must constantly be observed. Please use handrails when walking along the decks or going from one level to another.

Please bring a pair of boat shoes / flip flops just for the boat/dinghy. These are to be worn while you are on the boat/dinghy and not taken off the boat and worn into town. This helps us to maintain the fiberglass on the boat.

On Deck: No glass on deck. There are plenty of plastic cups with lids available in the galley.
Any lounge chairs taken out must be put away under the bimini or inside to protect them from moisture.

The galley is available for use for coffee/tea and heating up light snacks. Propane is limited and heavy cooking is not allowed. The skipper will take care of all of the dirty dishes. Please do not rinse them – just leave them in the sink.

Please turn off all lights when not directly in use. Please do not touch any buttons you do not know what they do. Any questions how to do something – Ask the skipper.

Bathroom Etiquette:
Everyone must sit while using the bathroom, including men. Nothing goes in the toilet except for toilet paper. This includes tampons, pads, condoms, etc. There are trash bags in each bathroom – Please be careful how much toilet paper you flush – the system is delicate and can only handle small amount of toilet paper. To help keep the system running properly, please use the trash bag for toilet paper used for # 1, and flush any soiled toilet paper. When in doubt, throw it out. Be careful with any hair and place it in the trash bag, not the sink, toilet or shower. No urinating in the shower – this will cause the water system to alarm. We ask that you take a “sailors” shower. A “sailors” shower is, turn on the water and wet yourself down then turn the water off. Wash your hair and body and then turn the water on to rinse. NO daydreaming and lounging with water on. To brush your teeth - Wet your toothbrush, turn the water off, brush your teeth, turn the water on and quick rinse of brush and mouth to rinse. Remember there are pipes that can back up just like at home and should they get damaged you will be held responsible.

Hatches & Windows:
When leaving the boat – close all hatches and windows in all cabins, bathrooms and common areas including the cockpit spring windows. If you see rain coming or it starts to rain, please close everything. On nights when there it a lot of dew or humidity – if you want your hatches open, please only about 20 degrees. This will keep the moisture out of the boat.

Swim at your own risk. There are flotation devices available.

Extreme care should be exercised when boarding and leaving the vessel. No smoking or horseplay while on the boat. The owners of Guinevere V and our insurance are not responsible for any injury due to your own negligence. We are not responsible for any injury or death suffered by any guest or any other person while boarding, disembarking or staying on the boat.

Valuables: Guests are solely responsible for their own valuables and safekeeping of their property. The owners of Guinevere V are not responsible for any loss of any property of any person.

All restricted areas of the ship are clearly marked, or will be secured close. These areas are restricted to prevent guests from causing any damage to the boat. If guests enter any restricted area resulting in damage it will be an immediate $1500.00 charge in addition to the costs of any repairs.

There are no illegal substances allowed on the vessel. If any are brought onboard, your stay will end immediately and you will be charged the full amount of your stay.

The boat is a beautiful catamaran. The bedrooms are decent size for a boat, and having a private bath for each bedroom is very nice. You are on a boat, so you'll have to be considerate about water usage and take fast showers, but it's hard to get a more comfortable boat stay. The common areas are fantastic and we did not want to leave the boat really, it was such a great time hanging out on the water and watching the sunsets. Capt Ren is very nice and helpful in all aspects and we had a phenomenal time.

A place in mind that use all your senses to contemplate it in your mind's eyes. A place where you can feel peaceful and calm and at rest. Victoria, who is caring and compassionate, embodies wisdom and strength, warmth, unconditional love, acceptance. Just allow yourself to be there....you don't have to trust me if you want to taste the mango so take a bite.

Ren was a pleasure as our host. He was right there for anything we needed. He answered the many questions my son and husband had about the beautiful catamaran. The beds were so comfortable I actually woke up and didn't know where I was for a second. We had a much needed peaceful break from reality and loved every minute of it. So from Glen, Alexandra, Glen Jr and our friend Margie we thank you for a wonderful stay.

Staying with Ren on the Guinevere was the best decision we could have made during our stay in Newport. We were in town to check out the Folk Festival, which we'd been attending for many years, and this was probably the best hotel/rental experience we've had so far. Victoria was incredibly helpful with all of our questions and providing guidance in the weeks before the trip. The logistics of getting and and forth to the boat and festival with all of our belongings seemed like it would be complicated process, but Ren and Victoria made it so simple and actually became a very enjoyable part of the process. We went in to the long weekend knowing exactly where to park in town (for free) and where to meet her brother Ren. Ren was the most gracious host; He prepared us a delicious, healthy breakfast every morning while we jumped off the back of the boat to start our day. He was very pleasant to talk to and spend time with on the boat, plus he makes a mean cup of coffee ;). The boat is large enough that we all had plenty of privacy whenever it was desired. The catamaran trampoline is a great place for watching distant thunderstorms! The catamaran itself is very stable, even in rougher waters/storms. I can't say enough positive things about Ren, Victoria, and our entire experience staying with them. 10/10 would recommend.

We enjoyed a beautiful day sail with Captain Ren! The boat was lovely; very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We were made to feel right at home! Ren was so wonderful with our kids, patiently answering questions about the boat, letting them help him steer the boat, and was delighted to let them (safely) climb around and enjoy. We had a beautiful sail and swim! What a wonderful day! Thank you!

What an awesome trip to Newport and it had a lot to do with our awesome home on the water, The Guinevere V. Captain Ren was an amazing host to us and our four kids (ages 14, 12, 10 and 8). The boat was brand new and the rooms were very well kept. We loved hanging out on the boat watching TV, reading and teaching Captain Ren how to play UNO. The kids also loved learning how to drive the dingy to and from shore under Captain Ren's supervision. No better way to experience Newport!!
