Food scene
Huge whiskey selection, and beer, drinks, etc. This is a big, but cozy, family friendly place with the best beer battered French fries and awesome food- the Reuben, spinach artichoke dip, and burgers are our favorites. Free Pool and darts!! Comedy on weekends.

They make their own great beer and have White Winter Cider from Iron River, WI too. The pizza is amazing deep dish and they always have their own creative specialty pizza. It’s just right over the bridge in Superior but worth the trip. It’s in an old historic train depot and active trains go by while you’re eating. Cool
Space, great food.

Must see! Free! We live here and we go almost every time we’re in canal park. Has the information on when the ships come in, really neat exhibits, pieces and parts from ships, state rooms, and a great gift shop! After you’re done touring the maritime museum, walk over the lift bridge and look down thorugh the grates. So cool!

This is so close to my house, and so cool! It’s one of the few completely intact mansions in the US- all of the Congdon family belongings, furniture, clothing is there....as it was at the turn of the century. It’s right on Lake superior, beautiful grounds, live music in the summer on certain nights. They now have a self guided option which is great. Tip-Download the free app before you get there and you can listen to the audio and read as you tour. Book ahead because it fills up!

This is such a neat train tour and worth the 20 minute drive. You are right on the river and the water. This is not the lake, but it’s the bay. It’s a narrated tour and talks about a lot of the history of early Duluth. Open cars with lots of photo opportunities.

After you visit the Maritime Museum, walk on the sidewalk along the canal and catch a ship coming in. So amazing. If you stand underneath the bridge as it’s lowering, it feels like it will come down and touch your head but it doesn’t. Fun for all ages :)
