Thanks to the efforts of the Town of Guernsey, Guernsey Economic Development and a number of loyal businesses, 2009 was our first full season for Disc Golf at Heimbuck Park. Local business owners who offered funds to build the holes include Oregon Trail Bank, First State Bank, Register Cliff Pharmacy, Wyoming West Realty and Col. Dunn of the Wyoming National Guard. This course is 2,669 feet long and all holes are Par 3. Discs are available at Register Cliff Pharmacy or you can rent them with a small deposit. Stop by and let your children run off a little energy or come cool off with us at our swimming pool! With a 90-foot water slide and play features for the younger children, the pool is a delight. The pool area also has playgrounds, a basketball court for outdoor play, and a baseball field. The pool is located at 398 W Chugwater St.

Deer, antelope, bald eagles, wild turkeys and part of the Wyoming State buffalo herd can be seen at the State Park. The North Platte River offers canoeing, rafting and great fishing. The three municipal parks in Guernsey are clean, green and welcome respite to the weary traveler. Spend the night or several days along the North Platte River surrounded by historic sites, magnificent scenery, peaceful ambience and many recreational possibilities...

Sunrise was a company mining town of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company located in Platte County, Wyoming, United States. The entire site of the former mining district and town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They open up a few times in the year but mostly tours are by reservation only.

This is a decommissioned Missile Alert Facility that will take you down to see the command center where missiles would have been launched from during the Cold War.

This is a bit more than 100 miles from us but it is well worth visiting if you are coming from the north. It is a unique formation from the magma of a old volcano.

This location is a favorite site for outdoor weddings and company picnics. The park is owned by Converse County and reservations must be made through them. Please contact the Park for more information.

This is the largest rodeo in the world and it happens once a year in Cheyanne. If you like rodeos this is the place to be. If you don't you may want to avoid Cheyanne during the rodeo because the whole city becomes crowded and busy.
