The Red Shed produces awesome beer! And they occasionally have excellent live music. This original location on a hill just outside of Cherry Valley is only open evenings on weekends, but they have a new larger location near Cooperstown with food.

Glimmerglass is a quiet park for swimming, picnicking, hiking, and lounging at the northern end of 9-mile long Otsego Lake. Cooperstown is at the southern end. There's a beach, an historic covered bridge, and an historic mansion at the park called Hyde Hall.
