If you like nature walks, take a left from Center Street onto E Ashley Ave. and go all the way to the end of Folly Island to the abandoned Coast Guard station (now a nature preserves) – Iconic views of the Charleston Harbor and the Morris Island Lighthouse. No dogs allowed

Summer Folly Beach Traffic
It is best to leave for the beach before 9:00 A.M. Traffic starts to build around 10 and peaks around lunch time. On weekends during peak times it can take as long as 30 minutes to an hour to find parking and get to Folly Beach.
