Hackescher Markt is located only a short walk away from Berlin’s Alexanderplatz and is a popular place not just for tourists but also for locals. I think because of its central location and its huge selection of cool shops, cafés and decent restaurants (at every price level, too!)
You also can discover a maze of beautiful courtyards ("Hackesche Höfe"). Many cool stores and flagship stores

bustling shopping street with department stores, luxury boutiques, restaurants and cafes. Kurfurstendamm, or Ku’damm as it is known in Berlin, was built as a German answer to the Champs-Elysee in Paris. The wide road was lined with trees and ornate buildings were built along both sides
here are a number of big department stores and chains along the 3.5km-long Kurfurstendamm, that are the mark of a major shopping street in any big city: H&M, Chanel, Gucci, Emporium and Rolex, as well as the huge Berlin shopping landmark, KaDeWe. These are great if you’re in Berlin for a shopping spree, or if you want to walk around in the evening and window shop. There are also a few unique Berlin boutique

111 Bernauer Str.At the eastern end of Unter den Linden is Museum Island, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site lying in the middle of the Spree. It’s home to five of Berlin’s most important museums: two not to be missed are the Neues Museum, home to the Egyptian bust of Nefertiti and the spectacular Pergamonmuseum, one of the world’s major archaeological museums. Within it you walk through a series of astounding structures, from a partial recreation of the Pergamon Altar (170–159 BC) to the two-storey Roman Gate of Miletus (29 metres wide and almost 17 metres high) and the Ishtar Gate of Babylon, dating from the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar (605–563 BC).

Beautiful rather larger square in Berlin Mitte, right beside the popular shopping street Friedrichstraße
The square is mostly known for its architectural ensemble dating back to the seventeenth century, including the Concert Hall (Konzerthaus), the French Cathedral (Französischer Dom) and the German Cathedral (Deutscher Dom). In the center of the square you’ll find a monumental statue of Germany’s renowned poet Friedrich Schiller.

The Landwehr Canal is an iconic 10 kilometre-or-so stretch of water that cuts through the heart of Berlin. It flows through the Tiergarten, most of Kreuzberg, skirting Neukölln and finally re-joining the Spree in Friedrichshain.
I personally like the Kreuzberg-part the most. From the apartment, you can easily walk to the "Baerwaldbrücke" and then take a right to pass the "Carl-Herz-Ufer", "Planufer" (there's one of our most favorite pizza spots called Il Casolare) and "Maybachufer".
At Car-Herz-Ufer and Planufer there are meadows to chill and enjoy the sun. You can see boats passing by every now and then, too.
