Avoiding Traffic
Try to leave places between 930-11 and 130-4. Most people are headed into town in the morning and out in the evening. If you are going the opposite way, your fine. And AVOID the 610 West loop by the galleria area between 4-6pm either way. It gets very congested.

Summer advice
If you have never been to Houston in the summer, it’s HOT and HUMID. Plan to either stay inside, or sweat a lot. Mosquitos can also be bad most of the spring/summer. So plan to bring itch cream. We can leand you bug spray!

To do’s
So many fun things to do at Hermann Park for all ages! The zoo is awesome! Bring snacks/drinks to save money. Entrance is $23 for adults. I can show you where the free parking is. The natural science museum is also very good. You pay separate for each exhibit so prices vary. In that same area is the Hermann park, train ride ($7.50 each) Japanese gardens-free, and Miller Outdoor theatre. There is a large pond to feed ducks and do paddle boats too. We also have a great children’s museum here. And several awesome playgrounds! Memorial park has a great one and it’s very close.
