Just around the corner from Villa Niagara is "Lock 1" of the famous Welland Canal. Watch the ships enter and exit the lock, as they make their way from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie.

This historic old town was where the Welland Canal first started. Grab an ice cream cone or a coffee at one of the local shops and stroll along the waterway and out to the end of the pier. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

Hop on the bikes and ride down a nicely maintained path all the way out into the lake, to the end of the Welland Canal opening, and reach your destination - the lighthouse. There are not houses along this path, so if it's privacy you want, you'll certainly find it here!

This is a very cool place to hike and explore. The old historic village is still there and you can walk through the old grist mill, and hike down to the falls. Amazing place.

Hiking down to the whirlpool gorge is one of the most fantastic outdoor activities you can do. So many different trails and experiences. You will certainly be glad you made the trek. Be warned - it's quite a hike! ( literally :-) )

Niagara Park Commission just opened this historic site and the trip through the station will leave you utterly amazed at what these enterprising people built. Travel down 180' and follow the path of the water took, right to the base of the falls!. WELL worth the ticket price!

This is a most unique little town - Chippawa. Perched just above Niagara Falls, this little village was the portage spot for settlers trying to navigate around the Falls. In the summer, you can enjoy a lazy float down the river - it is amazing! We'll even give you the floats!
