Sightseeing
This is a great little hike 5 minutes from the cabin. You can take the main path up which is great for all ages or my favourite is Little Pine path. The entrance of little pine path is about a 100 meters past the main path and is marked with a trail map. Stick to the left (first right hand trail brings you under the cliffs). The first part is the most difficult, it is very steep, if you can make it up the first pitch it’s a lovely hike with inkukshuks along the way.

Eagles Nest Lookout

Manitou Mountain - Barrett Chute Trailhead
Barrett Chute RoadThis trail starts just at the top of Stubinskis lane. It is quite a long hike so be prepared to spend a lot of your day on the trail but it is quite pretty. For families with smaller children or older guests you can always do an out and back and maybe not reach the top of the trail but enjoy the walk. I like to bring my dog there for a quick evening walk, or my kids for a quick nature walk.
The ski hill is one of the best around. Great snow conditions, great pitch, beautiful scenery. Highly recommended.

This brewery has an amazing patio overlooking the madawaska river and delicious food and beer. They even have live music on some nights!

This place has great atmosphere! Great friendly staff, nightly specials, great beer, great for families. There is even music nights from time to time. This is my go to spot for dinner out in Calabogie!
