Historic Dundee/Memorial Park area has a ton of seriously gorgeous historic homes so our favorite thing to do in this neighborhood is to grab a coffee and take a walk! Neighboring Memorial Park has trails to bike/run/or walk along and enjoy as well—not to mention the stunning views from the top of the steps. Want to keep exploring? Cross under the Dodge Street Subway, Omaha’s only underground passageway or travel across the pedestrian bridge to check out the other side of Dundee (home to Warren Buffett). Dundee also has lots of great places to grab food & drinks and do some local shopping! Some great food options include Pitch, the Hoppy Taco, Amsterdam Falafel, Le Quartier is an amazing pastry/cafe, and Great Harvest Bread Company makes fresh breads and pastries! Two new & delicious breakfast spots include Lola’s and Good Lookin’. Exist Green is an amazing eco-friendly shop and the Dundee Flea has some great vintage finds. Have a sweet tooth? Cupcake Omaha or E-Creamery will solve it! Need coffee? Stop into the Dundee Doubleshot!

If you are looking for a bar that is relaxed with a cozy British feel, you need to head to the Toad. For warm weather they have the best porch seating surrounded by huge trees and string lights! If you like cool atmosphere and delicious tropical drinks you can’t miss out on the Laka Lono Rum Club. It’s a basement bar totally decked out in tiki design and their drinks are amazing (also strong). If you go, somebody at the table has to order the Zombie—they light this drink on fire and it’s super cool! If you are a horror movie fan you have to go to the Monster Club Bar—its decor is all about horror flicks. A trip to the Old Market wouldn’t be complete without visiting Hollywood Candy, a huge store with an antiques side and a classic candy shop side. The Imaginarium is another place you can wander around for long stretches of time—so many antiques and oddities to check out. We also love Raygun, a print shop that sells a variety of goods including clothes, cups, magnets, postcards, etc. that are largely locally and social justice inspired!

You can also grab a coffee at Hardy Coffee Co. and dessert at Ted & Wally’s Ice Cream or Cake by the Pound at Ruby’s Place!

If you enjoy gardens and getting in a nice walk outdoors, this is a great place to visit! Of course the gardens are most beautiful when plants are in bloom but we also enjoying walking the trails when it’s snowy! There is also a large greenhouse that always has plants in bloom to see.
