A special day out
Taking a trip to the Farnes is special. You will see a large number of sea birds and our local colony of grey seals, often bobbing about in the waves beside the boat or lounging on the shoreline. It is a trip you will remember for a long time. I personally would recommend Serenity Boats as the owner, Andrew, will not rush to get you around, especially giving you plenty of time to watch in awe if your are lucky enough to encounter a passing pod of dolphins.

The Duchess of Northumberland has created a very interesting public garden here. The tree house restaurant is well worth a visit especially if you are looking for somewhere to have a special celebration

Some spectacular views from the Castle walls. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor filmed on the beach below the castle way back in the 60s. Half the young people in the village at the time were extras in the film

Booking (due to covid) is essential but worth a visit...Lord Armstrong was a huge influence in the North East. The nearby market town of Rothbury is well worth a visit too.

Relax in comfort
This is a local spa attached to a large static caravan park within the village. Due to Covid restrictions numbers of visitors are reduced considerably but booking early might secure a time for an hour or two of rest and relaxation. The beauty spa is also open by appointment too but book early as appointments are booked up well in advance
