If you are not from here, and I mean Texas, you have to experience H‑E‑B. It is an excellent grocery store right up the road and has an awesome selection and great prices. I highly recommend the Texas Pride barbecue and if you are in the mood for charcuterie check out the deli.

Local hiking
Great variety of hiking trails. They even have Dino tracks that you can see but it is a bit of a hike in. Easy going trails. Only open Friday-Monday.

City Park
Excellent local park with splashpad, obstacle course, skate park, basketball courts, even frisbee golf. Some short trails with hills that give you a great view of the city.
Lots to do if you are looking for some outdoor engagement.
