Sightseeing

Just 5 minutes down the road from us, this zoo really lives up to it’s reputations as the best zoo in regions Victoria. Get up close and personal with the animals in their beautiful open enclosures or do one of their great experiences (at extra cost) and go inside the enclosures with them! It’s quite a long walk around the whole zoo, take food and drinks for the playground pit-stop in the middle as there are not food venues in the zoo itself.

Home of the handmade waffle cone and always sporting a queue (for good reason!), no visit to Halls Gap is complete without an ice cream from Coolas enjoyed by the creek to finish a day in the sunshine.

Consejos para la ciudad

Facilidad para moverse por la casa

Don’t expect taxis or phone reception in the Gap!

The mountains are beautiful but they don’t make for good telecommunications. Anything other than Telstra and you’re unlikely to get much service, especially at the boundaries of the town, where even Telstra doesn’t reach. Come prepared with plans for your trip or go back to basics and make the most of the tourist office’s advice and paper pamphlets.
