Climb up the mountain of Giouxtas and admire the 360 view of the city of Heraklion, Psiloritis mountain on the west and Lasithiotika mountais o the east.
The 811m mountain that was used as a religious site during the Minoan era hosts now on its top a church devoted to Jesus Christ. You can either hike through the mountain trails that start in the bottom of the mountain or drive to the top with your car. It is an off road track.
Later you can combine your visit with a lunch in the picturesque Archanes.
