Super nice place to go and the closest "beach" to our property. Its not technically a traditional beach because is like enclosed in an inlet. However, is perfect for kids and for adults while visiting "La Playa" a nice restaurant located in the building close to it.
Going south, You have the Homestead Bayfront park, it's some kind of cove beach with no open sea access but is very well maintained and nice for kids. There is a nice restaurant in the same location with local food and drinks. Nice state park with tons of activities to do. Perfect to stay the whole day. Restaurants and shops around. Very close to Homestead is in the entrance of the Key Largo
Driving a bit more in Key Largo you have John Pennekamp https://pennekamppark.com/ State park. Full of activities and things to do, Boat rentals, kayaks, camping, fishing, BBQ. Nice for the whole day.
