Downtown is the place to go for a conglomerate of good food, unique places to shops, great places to stop in for a drink and live music. We highly recommend spending an evening wandering Downtown Asheville!

The NC Arboretum is full of shorter trails, great for families, and beautiful botanical gardens. It's lovely all year, but spring is when it seems like entire mountainsides bloom simultaneously. Well worth a visit!

Great spot right off the French Broad river to enjoy a lovely craft brew and incredible views. Check them out early to book a tour through their brewery! We love NBB!

Metro Wines is a wine store, but they always have wine available to taste. Look online ahead of time to see what's open and what special events they might have going on. (We stumbled onto a 10 bottle Rose tasting, for free!) Take a few minutes and talk to their employees about wine - you'll always learn something. We enjoy hanging out with Charlie and Andy every time we go in. Really great wine store!!

If you like sour beers and you've already visited New Belgium, head to Wicked Weed and check out theirs. A must-see on the South Slope, Wicked Weed is a small brewery that knows what they're doing.

The Biltmore... a stunning sight at any time of the year. There's something for everyone here: a winery, acres of gardens, and the home/museum itself. A worthy day trip.

Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful road through the Blue Ridge Mountains that has hiking pull offs scattered throughout. Stop by the visitor's center to see historical and culture exhibits, and figure out where you want to go for your outdoor adventure.

Lovely spot for a picnic and some time outside. This park is along the Asheville Greenway, a pedestrian and bike friendly path that follows the French Broad River. There's a nice three mile loop between the French Broad dog park and Carrier Park for any visiting runners.
