The Southworth ferry is only minutes from our house and it is a spectacular scenic ride across the Puget Sound to West Seattle. If you are from out of town this is a "must do" kinda thing - it is the best way to get to Seattle!

Southworth Ferry Dock station
11564 SE State Highway 160The Southworth ferry is only minutes from our house and it is a spectacular scenic ride across the Puget Sound to West Seattle. If you are from out of town this is a "must do" kinda thing - it is the best way to get to Seattle!
This is a beautiful place to see by boat or kayak and not far from our house! Or, from Seattle you can take the tour boats to Tillicum Village on Blake Island which is a small native village offering traditional feasts and performances for visitors.

Alki is in west Seattle which means it is not far from the Southworth ferry! This place has a southern California beach vibe with lots of beach volleyball, cool restaurants and great views of Seattle

Hiking or sightseeing in the Olympic Mountains is incredible and it is only 2 hours from our house. Check out the whole Olympic Peninsula and use Miracle Mile Dreams as your home base.

Food scene
Port Orchard & Gig Harbor are the two closest places with great restaurants. But if you take the ferry into Seattle that opens up a ton of options. I’m suggesting just a few local places that I hope you will enjoy…
When in Seattle, you HAVE to visit this iconic restaurant and be sure to save a few extra fries and walk around the side and feed the seagulls! It is actually encouraged - (unlike at our house haha)

We love the margaritas, food and people at this authentic Mexican restaurant in Port Orchard. The original location is also in Gig Harbor which is not far and might be worth the drive to check out the great little town before dinner!

Table 47 offers catering service whether it’s delivering custom party trays or full service catering! Our home is well within their delivery range. It’s also an excellent restaurant in Gig Harbor.
