CTrain is a light rail rapid transit system in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Most of the network functions as a light metro, though in the free-fare zone that runs through the downtown core the Red and Blue lines operate like a urban tramway. A one-way fare to access Calgary Transit's bus and train network is C$3.15 for an adult, C$2.10 for a youth (age 6-17), and free for children under 6 (as of Jan 2015). The weather in Alberta can change quickly so it's best to dress in layers in any season. Warm jackets, boots, scarves, mittens and hats are a must in our winter months. Bring a hat and sunglasses to provide protection from strong sunlight.
