Kikoku shokudo was created in 1949, the current chef is 70 years-old, his parents have funded the restaurant. This is a very local place, a kind of "workers" izakaya where the beer and the food are not expensive. Neon lighting, no particular design, no English menu, but definitely a local experience if you want something different and not touristic. They have a rather large variety of food from grilled meat and noodles.
