hromthep Cape is the island's most photographed and perhaps best-known location. Every evening, large tour buses, scooters and private cars sweep through Rawai Beach and up the island's southernmost hill in order to watch the sunset at its peak. On the top of the hill stands a busy car park where vehicles disgorge crowds of people from every corner of the world. Cameras flash, fingers point and lovers cuddle as Phuket's most fabulous free show is re-enacted nightly – the sunset

Wat Chalong ( Chalong Temple ) is the largest of Phuket's temples, and the most visited. Locals and many Thai tourists come to pray and pay respects to several revered monks who were the founders of Wat Chalong, among them Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang, 2 monks, who led the citizens of Chalong Sub district fighting against the Chinese rebellion in 1876 and with their knowledge of herbal medicine helped the injured. Wat Chalong Temple is most revered for the sacred relic that is kept here, a fragment of a bone of the Buddha. The relic that is named Phra Borom Sareerikatat is kept inside a glass case on top of the 60 meters high Phra Mahathat Chedi. It was brought over from Sri Lanka and was installed in the chedi by HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Nui Beach is one of the most beautiful ‘secret beaches’ in Phuket. Renamed Nui Bay Member Club after the company that takes care of it, this 120m strip of sand dotted with large boulders is located roughly four kilometres through the jungle after Kata-Karon Viewpoint, on the road linking Kata and Nai Harn beaches. Nui Beach is really a tropical dream destination come true: perfectly maintained and cleaned up by the staff of Nui Bay Member Club, it features a bar/restaurant, as well as many activities – snorkelling, beach volley, sea kayaking, fly boarding, donut boating, massage, sauna, and even scuba diving (it must be arranged beforehand though). The access to Nui Beach, however does not come for free. It will cost you 350 baht (500 baht with transfer included) to enjoy a great day at this lovely remote sandy shore. Please note that there’s no entrance fee for children below 12 years old. Read More... How to get there: Head down the side road next to the Kata viewpoint of the hilly road from Nai Harn to Kata. Pass the Reggae Bar and park at the set of stairs heading down to the restaurant
