Newly refurbished Zagreb Zoo is located in Maksimir Park, the biggest in Zagreb and one of the oldest parks in Europe, also called "the lungs of Zagreb". With the ticket price of only 30 kn or even less on Mondays (20 kn), you could easily spend several hours strolling around Zoo pathways, far from the noise of the city, but just few meters from the hustle and bustle.
