These gardens are best accessible via car. There is a cover fee but it is a beautiful intimate garden. Nice if you are driving through or going to the Bronx for other activities.

You can take the subway to Coney Island; it's an amusement park and public beach. The Cyclone is a classic NYC landmark and the Wonder Wheel gives great views; try it at sunset. The boardwalk has a lot of oddity bars and exhibits too!

This is the first location of Shake Shack in the city but there are quite a few around if you cannot make it here. This is the classic experience of standing on a long line in Madison Square Park, people watching for 20 minutes and then sitting in the park eating your burger and shake!
