Just beautiful. A gorgeous wintery experience with much cooler temperatures than Sydney city even though it's only a 2 hour train ride away. A great day trip. Walk to Echo Point from Katoomba station for the best view and the start of lovely short hikes (or bushwalks as we say in Australia).
